In 2007, over $180,000 was raised by 100 oneday events run all across the country in support of Oaktree’s projects in East Timor.
This year, take action to equip a generation of influential young people to lead their peers in the fight against HIV/AIDS in South Africa, through the GOLD project
Run a oneday event to raise money and awareness in support of the GOLD project and respond to the root causes of the HIV/AIDS pandemic by restoring hope, vision and purpose to young people’s lives and by equipping them to be the leaders of tomorrow.
- $13,000 funds the entire GOLD program in a school for a year.
- $420 trains a peer educator.
- Which means that $15 will provide a student with access to life-saving education through GOLD.
